Hey good people,
I always appreciate the time and effort people put into thinking about me.  My fellow blogger Mary Joyce of My Afrocentric Creations (see my "blog inspirations for her link") sent me a wonderful RAK for Christmas...She created a mug in my favorite color pink with my image (TOTALLY COOL), sent two of my favorite treats: Dunkins Donuts coffee and Pecan Delight, along with a stamp.  TFL.

It's still the Holiday Season and here is a card I created to mail to one of my friends.  I hope they like it.  It is created using the Recollections Holiday collection patterned paper and the Snowman Couple stamp is by Stampendous.  The snow was created using the snow border punch of Martha Stewart.  TFL.

Holiday Greetings

Hey good people,  I just want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season.  I am visiting my parents in Little Rock Arkansas and if you have been watching the weather, you know we are having one hell of a snow storm...YES!! A White Christmas for me...I am having the best time ever...we have had  no power for two days and still don't have any...I can't travel back to Kansas until the roads clear..awwwww! My dad has to work from home and my mom is off...due to the inclement weather...So they have been home with me...YEAH!!!  We are doing the happy dance...Since my parents get a kick out of having the  most up to date technology, I get to update my blog, surf the net and watch the portable TV (only a few channels, but HEY)...and the fire place is going for warmth.  We used the snow to keep some drinks and potatoe salad cold.  See pics below...Back to the card I have posted...yesssss, it's me.  My favorite digi artist Robert Jackson is the creator.  He will draw a digi stamp in your image at your request, just email him.  Anywhooo, have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy life; it is such a blessing!

SOC Blogger Challenge

Hey good people, over at SOC there is a blogger challenge that is pretty cool.  Click on my gadget for Scraps of Color to view the happenings on that site.  I promise you will be excited!  Anywho, the blogger challenge is to highlight your Christmas List; well pictured above is the sectional I have been wanting for over a year...and I still want it, but I am waiting for the right sale to occur...check it out at haverty's.com...it is called Lidia.  Other than this sectional; I want the world to be a safer place, more love, more laughter, more rest, more time to craft, to be more forgiving, and have a wonderful day with my parents during our visit together.  TFL.

Hey good people, how cool is this image from Robert Jackson.  When I first saw it I was somewhat shocked, but hey we all sit the pot "everynowandagain".  So I enlarged this image to fit an 8x10 sheet and framed it for Rondell, who is always telling me he is going to his throne...LOL! TFL,

Hey good people, I must first say I am not good at taking pics of my creations.  But anywho, I was inspired to try my hand at a clear ornament while I was playing along in the ODBD Christmas Blog hop this morning. This is my first attempt and like everyone else, I learned and thought of other ways to make it better.  I did enjoy making it and will do more.  The top pic is the back of the ormnament; I painted it red and covered it with gold glitter. The bottom is of course the front and I use a rubbernecker image, colored it, applied adhesive and placed it inside the bulb.  Then I added some poinsettas (too big in my opinion, but that's what I had).  TFL.

Holiday Card Drive for Deployed military members

Hey good people,

I know I've absent for a little while, but I am back with a worthwhile request.

The McConnell Air Force Base Library is hosting it's annual "Holiday Card for the Troops" drive from 14 Oct-14 Nov 2012. Last year, they raised 8,750 cards and the goal for this year is 10,000. The cards are mailed to Airmen and Soldiers in various deployment locations. Each year they invite several community organizations to participate; therefore, I am inviting you.

Requirements for cards:

- 5 cards, due by 12 Nov, so that I can turn them in by 14 Nov

- Only homemade cards accepted and must not be any larger than 5 x 7 inches

- Include the following information with each card:

§  Organization name (your information..i.e. Scraps of Color)

§  Your name

§  Mailing address and/or email address (many of the soldier’s like to write or email the person they get a card from)

I suggest using an Avery label for the info and adhere it to the back of each card.

Hey Good people,

It has been wayyyyyy too long and I apologize.  I am in the mist of studying for my final military promotion (Chief Master Sergeant) and I really want it.  So please pray for me to retain and recall the study material as needed.

Ok enough of that!  Soooooo, over at SOC (Scraps of Color) the Robert Jackson Digital group is hosting a challenge called RJ Song Challenge.  You must create a card or something using RJ's image, but the twist is to use a song as a sentiment.  Ummmmm!  Those ladies are freakin' creative.  Well, I submitted this card...Using the "Clean Up Woman"  a song by Betty White.  Yep! I took it wayyyyyyyyyyyy back. 

A few lyrics of the song:

Good morning good people,

I was watching the  highlights of the London Olympics and the USA women's beach volleyball team was asked "what are you going to do to get back on top" after the lost one match.  The ladies responded with what they had been taught by their coach:  Breathe Believe and Battle!  I thought those were some powerful words, so I was inspired to design this card with the sentiment: Don't Lose Sight of the Goal.  Just like with the USA team, we lose the fight from time to time, but if we keep their motto in mind and continue to put one foot in front of the other, we will win!  Take Care and Much Love,  Kinkybella
